Immediate opening in North Charlotte/University Area. The role involves operating refuse collection vehicles, performing pre‑and post‑trip inspections, maintaining truck cleanliness, and providing courteous customer service.

The Waste Pro Residential Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre‑assigned routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Oversees helpers assisting on assigned route; performs pre‑trip and post‑trip truck check and cleaning; and performs other related work as assigned.

• Safely drive truck on pre‑established route in accordance with Decision Driving principles within prescribed time. Collect and dump garbage and refuse into trucks, and unload at landfill or transfer stations.
• Provide personalized service with courteous and expeditious customer interactions and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ensure garbage and recyclables at residences are picked up and transferred properly; use back doors and tag improper refuse containers.
• Perform daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections per Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines, including Safety Lane activity and DVIR.
• Maintain clean truck; wash exterior weekly and inspect under hood, under carriage, fluid levels, and air tires.
• Perform manual duties in cleanup of scattered refuse; move and empty large trash bins using hydraulic lifts.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation‑mandated reports and documents.
• Responsible for all persons working on vehicle during the designated route.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
• May be required to work during emergency situations.

• Attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses as assigned.
• Keep up to date on current technology used by Waste Pro.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind, and noise. Exposure to fumes, odors, and dust.
