Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Inventory Control Associate is to assist with the management of the inventory of all materials needed for the production floor.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock levels (daily, monthly and yearly counts).
  • Maintain a strong focus on detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management.
  • Assist with the reporting of nonconforming and damaged materials and any stock issues.
  • Perform item lookup.
  • Complete return to stock processing (RTS).
  • Assist with destruction of client‑owned inventory and company materials.
  • Proficient use of computers, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Keep area clean and clear of clutter.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Identify problems related to inventory, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Perform physical effort including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate equipment like forklifts and cherry pickers.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School graduate, or completion of GED preferred.
  • At least one year working in a warehouse or with inventory.
  • Ability to work independently and with coworkers.
  • Ability to drive a forklift or use pallet jacks when offloading trucks.
  • Ability to read and understand packing slips.
  • Knowledge of procedures for requesting material from inventory.
  • Knowledge of procedures for filling out and issuing material to floor.
  • Knowledge of procedures for returning material to inventory.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills necessary.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with effective time‑management abilities.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plus.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to: stand for extended periods, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. Requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and may be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
