Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Inventory Control Associate is to assist with the management of the inventory of all materials needed for the production floor.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock levels (daily, monthly and yearly counts).
  • Ensure detail-oriented accuracy in inventory management.
  • Assist with reporting of nonconforming and damaged materials and other stock issues.
  • Perform item lookup and complete return-to-stock process (RTS).
  • Assist with destruction of client-owned inventory and company materials.
  • Use computers proficiently, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Keep area clean and free of clutter.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Identify inventory-related problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School graduate, or GED preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a warehouse or inventory setting.
  • Ability to work independently and with coworkers.
  • Ability to drive a forklift or use pallet jacks when offloading trucks.
  • Read and understand packing slips.
  • Understand procedures for requesting material from inventory.
  • Understand procedures for filling out and issuing material to the floor.
  • Understand procedures for returning material to inventory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction.
  • English reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems considered a plus.
  • Availability to work overtime.
Working Conditions

Must be able to perform essential job duties in an office, warehouse, and/or manufacturing environment. Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or climbing for the majority of the day. Requires ability to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs. May be exposed to noise and required to wear hearing protection during the shift.
