City of Monroe Fire Department is hiring Entry Level Firefighter / EMT.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GE
- Completion of Ohio Firefighter II and EMT Basic / Advanced with active certification
- Applicants that are in school may still apply, but must have certifications by the time of hire.
- Valid Driver’s License
- 50 Hour Work Week with a 24/48 schedule
- Comprehensive benefit package including a generous HSA contribution of $1,800 or $3,600
- Vacation Time, Sick Time, Comp Time
- Holiday Pay Out, $1,000 Clothing Allowance, Attendance Bonus
- 13 EDO’s
- Paid training opportunities
- Special detail assignments such as hazmat, IMAT, water teams and County Technical Rescue
- START: $55,608
- YEAR1: $61,168
- YEAR 2: $67,285
- YEAR 3: $75,070
- National Testing Network Written Exam
- Physical Agility
- Panel Interview
- Additional Screenings Required Post Job Offer
