Bindery Operator

Location/Shift: Monroe/Blue Ash, Ohio / 2nd Shift

• Operate at least 3 core bindery machines with expertise on the required processes
• Meet customer and company expectations by producing high quality printing jobs in a cost-effective manner while meeting strict deadlines
• Follow team leader instructions for Bindery processes and communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel
• Maintain accurate daily records for data collection and align with ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions
• Keep production floor clean and organized; attend department and company meetings; assist in training new and temporary employees
• Work overtime and weekends as needed; perform other duties as required
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally; push/pull loaded pallet jacks and rolling carts

• Stitcher: operating knowledge of stitching machines, setup for various book sizes, and routine maintenance
• Cutter: operating knowledge of cutting machines, ability to cut diverse jobs, and routine maintenance
• Folder: operating knowledge of folder machines, ability to fold in multiple configurations, and routine maintenance
• Folder/Gluer: operating knowledge of fold/glue machines and routine maintenance
• Die Cutter: operating knowledge of die cutting machines and routine maintenance
• Collator: operating knowledge of Muller collators, setup of book sizes, stock caliper, and routine maintenance

• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience operating 3 core bindery machines in a print environment
• Excellent eye for detail; motivated with a positive attitude; ability to work in a team
• Ability to multi-task and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to adhere to department standards including Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, and Quality
• Proficiency with basic computer usage; knowledge of PSI is a plus

• High school graduate/GED
