At Sunglass Hut, we’re always in the sun. The Store Manager is an on‑floor leader who performs all store functions, coaches the team, and drives sales while ensuring the brand experience and company objectives are met.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Utilizes the Sunglass Hut Experience tools to consistently deliver the sales plan and company objectives.
- Develops and executes the store’s strategic plan to achieve financial results.
- Drives sales by continually identifying opportunities to achieve personal and store goals.
- Leads by example by coaching, developing, mentoring, and inspiring the team to enhance store performance.
- Employs a people‑first philosophy to grow careers, encourage teamwork, and retain talent.
- Networks, recruits, hires, and trains staff using onboarding tools as part of the Sunglass Hut Experience.
- Creates an inspirational, motivating, and brand‑integrity‑focused work environment.
- Builds emotional connections within the team that translate into sales.
- Spends an average of 100% of time present on the sales floor.
- Continuously coaches and develops the team for execution of the Sunglass Hut Experience.
- Builds customer relationships through interaction and feedback.
- Acts as the brand ambassador and maintains operational and brand standards.
- Stays highly knowledgeable of products and new merchandise/fashion trends.
- Motivates and inspires the team to be the best brand ambassadors.
- Ensures impeccable execution of operational policies and procedures.
- Communicates promotion, contest, and incentive information to the team.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous leadership experience of 2+ years.
- Demonstrated expertise in store operations.
- Detail‑oriented and uses critical thinking for operational execution.
- Customer service and/or retail experience.
