Sales Associate OverviewThe Sales Associate role is integral to the store’s success. Responsible for upholding Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, and building ongoing customer relationships through a personalized experience.
Responsibilities- Drive business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining productive relationships.
- Represents Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrates selling and service expectations at all times.
- Creates short‑ and long‑term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals.
- Provides in‑depth product knowledge, including features, benefits, current offerings, and overall value.
- Cross‑sells and encourages product add‑ons that relate to customers’ shopping needs.
- Attends to the unique and individual shopping needs of each customer.
- Follows up with customers consistently and genuinely to influence/close the sale.
- Leverages Coach’s tools and technology to support relationship building and clienteling efforts.
- Maintains a clean, tidy sales floor and complies with all retail policies and procedures.
- Supports cash wrap, inventory processes, visual merchandising, and operational tasks without impacting service.
- 1‑3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, Internet), walkie‑talkie, and read price sheets.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and, at times, 50 lbs for product shipment/transfers; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Schedule flexibility to meet Coach scheduling expectations (including high‑traffic retail days).
