Located in our Monroe, OH facility and reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Controls Technician will program, install, troubleshoot and provide engineering assistance on building automation projects and service calls. The manufacture lines that we install are Honeywell, Johnson Controls, and Carrier. However, we are willing to train the right applicant who has other control line knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Programming experience in Tridium a must. Programming experience in Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or Carrier open a plus.
- Install controllers, sensors, and actuators.
- Field verifies proper operation of all control devices.
- Troubleshooting existing installations. Could troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Discuss automation system malfunctions with customers to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.
- Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Run and terminate low voltage wiring and cabling as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Qualified individuals will have 3 plus years of experience programming and installing building automation systems. Including:
Boiler and chiller plants, custom AHUs, Rooftop units, integration to ancillary systems, etc. - Knowledge and experience programming fully programmable and application specific controllers.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of electrical devices.
- Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
Physical Demands
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
