General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install low‑voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.
  • Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment.
  • Repair and install network‑enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.
  • Assist in keeping building commons and technology spaces neat, orderly and safe.
  • Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.
  • Update as‑built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
  • Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
  • Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
  • Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
Education and Experience

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, depending on position.

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of the low‑voltage integration or ICT industry.
  • BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Language Skills

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English and collaborate with multiple levels of customers and employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations and various job sites. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.
