Maintenance Technician – Food Plant
Join Jaspen's Inc. as a Maintenance Technician in our food manufacturing plant. You will collaborate with operations, quality, and leadership to keep production running smoothly.

- Responsible for ensuring equipment is ready for production start‑up in a timely manner.
- Repair worn or damaged equipment and perform needed equipment modification and fabrication.
- Perform proper preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures for equipment and innovations to improve efficiency, safety, uptime, and reduce maintenance costs.
- Lubricate equipment with a thorough understanding of requirements for a variety of devices and applications.
- Perform welding and cutting of metals.
- Train personnel on autonomous maintenance and minor repairs and adjustments.
- Complete work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) documentation.
- Keep maintenance spaces (shop) and parts/equipment clean and organized.
- Maintain storeroom inventory (INV) and equipment bill of material (BOM).
- Read and interpret documents such as equipment manuals, safety rules, good manufacturing processes (GMPs) and general instructions.
- Communicate effectively (written and oral) and work safely around automated and semi‑automated machinery.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties before equipment is put back into production.
- Perform all other work as required.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of mechanical manufacturing experience and 3+ years of maintenance experience required.
- Prior experience working in a food manufacturing facility required.
- Welding and metal fabrication knowledge and ability required (MIG and TIG).
- Must be able to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and a multimeter.
- Strong basic math skills and computer skills required.
- Good understanding of GMP and food safety concepts.
- Must comply with attendance policy, be dependable, and have good attendance.
- Able to work as part of a team and safely around food allergens, primarily tree nuts.
- Frequently required to stand, use hands and fingers, and handle, feel, touch, or taste.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
- Able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Monday – Thursday 5:45am – 4:15pm. Must be available on some Fridays and on call as needed.
