Seeking a dedicated CNA Instructor to provide direct academic and clinical instruction to aspiring healthcare professionals. In this role, you will facilitate classroom learning and supervise hands-on clinical training, ensuring students are equipped with the essential knowledge and skills necessary for successful careers in patient care. Direct contact and guidance from the Washington Board of Nursing is a significant element of this position.
Position Info:
- Current District Employees must apply within 5 days of the position posting date or the position will remain open until filled. Pay is based on salary schedule placement and prorated on actual fte worked. CBA allows up to 4 year maxiumum healthcare experience credit only.
JOB INFO:
This position contract will be .40 FTE for the 26/27 school year. Applicant must hold a current unencumbered WA State Registered Nurse License (RN) and have a minimum of 3 yrs experience as an RN with at least 1 year with direct patient care. Position will also require a CTE Certification, applicant does not need to hold the cert, but must be eligible to apply for an initial or conditional CTE Cert when applying.

TITLE: ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Nurse
REPORTS TO: Chief Student Services Officer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, this position will assist in the planning and implementation of school health programs; evaluate the health status of students and the health service program; provide instruction to staff, students, and parents in health practices, child care, and other related subjects; serve as a resource for student health management strategies; monitor s student health care plans and perform s other related functions as required.
Experience and
Education:
- Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) certification required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current ESA certification as a school nurse required
- Prefer experience in pediatric or school nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing including preparation in public health practices required
- Current Washington State ESA certification as a School Nurse required
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR required
- Pediatric, adolescent, or school nursing experience
- Ability to work with a wide variety of adults and students.
- Prior successful work record with evidence of a positive work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Such other qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.
Special Requirements:
- Valid First Aid/CPR card
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance
- I-9 employment eligibility in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act
- HIV/HBV training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided)
- Human Resources new hire training (obtain within 60 days of hire date – District provided)
