The role requires 24 hours of work per week and daily pay availability.
Job SummaryProvide high‑quality mammography imaging and bone density services in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. Ensure procedural accuracy, patient education, safety compliance, and prompt image submission to PACS.
Primary Responsibilities- Operate mammography equipment and perform various imaging procedures. Prepare, position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters.
- Explain procedures and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Develop and evaluate images for technical quality—density contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of all high‑quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, proper marking, patient data).
- Maintain proper equipment function; report potential problems or malfunctions.
- Keep department areas clean and orderly, including procedure rooms, storage, and dressing areas.
- Work safely, consistently alert, and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
- Radiology Technologist, Illinois emergency agency‑accredited license.
- Advanced Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT‑R) and in Mammography (ARRT‑M).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- State licensure or equivalent certification for breast imaging and/or bone density as required by the state of work (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
- Constant standing and walking; frequent use of vision, hearing, and depth perception.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of 0‑25 lb objects; occasional lifting of 25‑50 lb objects.
- Frequent reaching, gripping, cursor use, and data entry.
- Occasional kneeling and sitting.
