Cheese Operations Mixer - Apprentice (Full-Time with Benefits)

This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to batch weighing, mixing, extruding, filling, depositing and cutting operations within our Cheese Operations. Food Quality and Food Safety are an important aspect to ensuring our customer expectations are met. This position involves setup and operation of numerous pieces of equipment including mixers, Crepaco, Porta Pump, cutters and more.

• Performing set‑up procedures for upcoming production runs
• Reading and preparing recipes to ensure the proper production of various cheese products
• Completing reports throughout the day regarding production
• Compliance with all food safety protocols; supporting FSSC 22000 certification
• Compliance with our safety program and safe operation of equipment
• Compliance with our Standard Operating Procedures

• High school education or equivalent, or two years of relevant experience (training provided)
• Ability to withstand moderate physical labor for the majority of the shift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Capability to follow and execute recipes with necessary math skills to scale up or down
• Strong experience/knowledge of operating a wide range of machines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
