CNC​/Manual Machinist

Hourly pay: $28.00–$35.00, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts

Our client designs and fabricates custom mechanical equipment and automated systems for entertainment, architectural, and specialty applications. Projects combine creative concepts with practical mechanical design and fabrication.

Our client is seeking an experienced Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment for research and development, prototype work, and low-volume production.

This is a hands‑on position requiring the ability to complete jobs involving multiple machining operations and pieces of equipment. The ideal candidate can work independently, interpret drawings, make accurate setups, and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.

• Set up and operate manual and CNC mills, including 3-axis mills, and lathes.
• Complete machining jobs involving multiple operations and equipment setups.
• Change tooling, set and adjust offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical assembly drawings.
• Inspect parts using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment to verify conformance with drawings and process requirements.
• Perform deburring, grinding, tapping, stock cutting, and other preparation and finishing work.
• Follow applicable quality policies, specifications, and shop requirements.
• Keep assigned work organized and complete tasks with attention to accuracy and quality.

• Experience setting up and operating manual and CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to change tools, adjust offsets, and make setup corrections independently.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand mechanical assemblies.
• Experience inspecting machined parts against drawing specifications.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Completion of a technical school or apprenticeship program, three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Reliable attendance and transportation to the Monrovia facility.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

• Five or more years of relevant machining experience.

The hourly pay range is $28.00–$35.00, depending on experience, knowledge, and demonstrated skills.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Monrovia, California, with 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday.
