Reporting: Finished Goods Warehouse Manager

Location: Montague Park

Job Objective

The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the Finished Goods Warehouse at Montague Park, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient dispatching, and the supervision of warehouse staff to maintain operational excellence.

Functional Area

s
  • Supervise and lead the warehouse picking team.
  • Plan and execute daily stock picking activities.
  • Coordinate the warehouse shopfloor activities.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts.
  • Manage the warehouse environment in terms of housekeeping, safety, hygiene and security.
  • Ensure all shopfloor stock control procedures and processes are fully adhered to, to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate daily employee performance to provide data support for performance assessments.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies, procedures and expectations. Conducts training when required.
  • Maintain HSE, Food Safety and security standards in the work environment.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
  • Perform incident investigations.
  • Stand-in for the Warehouse Manager when required.
Required prior learning/ experience
  • Matric plus relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma / Degree).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role, preferably in a food processing environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Proactive nature with good business sensibility.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Experience using ERP / WMS Systems (e.g. Syspro).
  • Computer literacy - Office 365.
  • Own transport.
