Daycare Director

Ekalaka Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and organized individual to serve as our
Daycare Director
. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a high-quality daycare program that puts the safety and well‑being of our children first.

• Program Leadership:Plan and supervise structured, educational group activities and daily schedules including physical activity, rest, and playtime.
• Care & Supervision:Provide firm but compassionate structure while attending to the needs of the children, including meal times and assisting with personal care.
• Compliance & Policy:Stay up to date on all Montana state daycare rules and regulations, and maintain local policies to align with state requirements.
• Operations:Manage supplies, equipment, and staff training schedules while maintaining professional relationships with parents and staff.

• High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childcare or Development is preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications (including pediatric).
• Willingness to register with the Montana ECP Registry and complete state‑required Director training.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit on the floor, and remain active with children.
• A fun‑loving attitude—must be willing to sing, dance, and get messy!
