Depending on Experience
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Montana teaching license meeting the criteria for a highly qualified teacher.
Possess those qualifications as required by the State of Montana as Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction, Class 3 Administrative license.
Job Overview
The Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction provides leadership and support in planning, developing, and implementing the district’s curriculum and instructional services. This role ensures alignment with state standards and promotes instructional practices that enhance student achievement.
Essential Functions
* Curriculum Development:
* Lead the development and administration of a quality curriculum at all grade levels, within the guidelines and standards developed by the Board of Trustees and the Office of Public Instruction, in conjunction with the administrative team. Train and support teachers in aligning instruction with curriculum standards and assessment tools.
* Develop instructional strategies and materials based on current research.
* Instructional Support:
* Provide ongoing instructional support to teachers.
* Organize and deliver professional development and training sessions.
* Support all aspects of district instructional and curriculum integration of technology.
* Assessment and Evaluation:
* Coordinate the administration and analysis of state and local assessments.
* Collect and create data charts, graphs, etc...and present to various constituents.
* Create and manage an annual district-wide assessment calendar.
* Assist in the evaluation of instructional programs and recommend improvements.
* Program Management:
* Support the implementation of federal and state aid programs.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of federal or state aid programs including but not limited to Title I, Title IIA, Title IID and Title VI & REAP.
* Coordinate the Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTII) system.
* Coordinate the Teacher Induction Program and district orientation programs and activities of new teachers administrators.
* Collaboration and Communication:
* Attend and participate in Steering Committee meetings.
* Collaborate with teachers, principals, and district staff to improve instructional effectiveness.
* Represent the district in meetings and conferences related to curriculum and instruction, assessment and technology.
* Maintain open communication with the community and report periodically to the school board on all curriculum, instruction, and assessment matters as directed by the Superintendent.
General Responsibilities
* Attend and participate in professional development activities.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
* Cooperate with administrative and supervisory personnel on the overall education program.
* REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
* Possess those qualifications as required by the State of Montana as Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction, Class 3 license required.
* The board reserves the right to request that additional requirements be met.
* Any exceptions to these requirements as determined by the Superintendent.
