The successful candidate will lead the development, management and continual improvement of the Occupational Health Module within the G.E.T. Safe – Safety and Health Management System to maintain compliance with company, state and federal regulations. The Industrial Hygienist will develop and maintain programs through field exposure evaluations using various sampling techniques, ensuring the continued health and safety of employees, protecting business interests, and meeting regulatory requirements for control of workplace health exposures.
Safety-related duties will include planned inspections, training, supervisor coaching, and program development.
Stillwater – Nye, MT
Schedule5x2, 4x3 9‑hour shifts
Qualifications and Skills- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments (Geology, Engineering, Production, Development, and Maintenance) to direct and plan activities.
- Firm understanding of personal and area industrial hygiene practices, including noise, air and wipe sampling.
- Knowledge of fundamental Industrial Hygiene sampling practices for DPM, dust, noise, welding fumes and other common health hazards.
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles and the ability to conduct workplace assessments.
- Ability to work independently with self‑direction.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary.
- Ability to effectively communicate and train other employees.
- A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- 6‑8 years of safety and health experience in the mining industry.
- CAOHC certification.
- CIH certification (or ability to apply for CIH with additional experience).
- NIOSH‑approved Respiratory Surveillance Technician certification.
- Underground MSHA instructor card.

- 6-8 years safety and health experience in the mining industry
