Overview
Big Sky Resort is looking for an organized, energetic, and adaptable Event Coordinator to join our Events team! This role supports an exciting year-round calendar including on-mountain events and races, partner activations, live music, après programming, and resort-wide experiences.
Working closely with the Events Team as well as a variety of departments across the resort, this hands-on role supports events from planning through on-site execution. We’re looking for someone who loves the details, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is just as comfortable behind a spreadsheet as they are setting up an event or solving a problem on the fly.
Responsibilities- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events and programming across Big Sky Resort.
- Assist with event timelines, run-of-shows, function sheets, site plans, and other planning documents.
- Support event setup, execution, breakdown, and load-in/load-out.
- Assist with partner, vendor, talent, and third-party event logistics.
- Coordinate with departments across the resort to communicate event needs and timelines.
- Maintain event calendars, trackers, files, invoices, and other planning materials.
- Assist with event assets, shipping and receiving, inventory, and post-event recaps.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Events team.
- 1- 3 years of relevant experience in events, hospitality, entertainment, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Ski Resort experience preferred.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaborator who is willing to jump in wherever needed.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
- Comfortable working outdoors in variable mountain weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move event equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and execution.
- Ability to ski at an intermediate level.
