Pharmacist, Healthcare

This position is located at multiple locations within the Billings Area. The purpose of this position is to serve as a pharmacist providing outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department pharmacy services for the assigned area. The employee will deliver quality pharmaceutical services to eligible patients in accordance with Federal and State law, Indian Health Service regulations, Service Unit policies, and accepted medical/ethical standards.

Duties

The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Pharmacist or designee.

Requirements

• Selectee may be subject to a probationary/trial period.
• ESEP appointees typically serve a two-year trial period.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• This position is covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children. The agency must ensure that persons hired for these positions have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contend ere or guilty to certain crimes.
• Measles and Rubella immunization is required for selectees born after 1957, and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service healthcare facilities.
• The selected individual must obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including licensure requirements. Failure to do so may result in adverse employment actions, including removal from Federal service.
• On-call hours or standby duty may be required, including weekends and/or evenings.

  Selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation.
