Overview

Pharmacist (Locum Tenens) opportunity with Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, for the Indian Health Service's Fort Peck Service Unit in Wolf Point and Poplar, Montana. The Pharmacist shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity. Employment details: 1099, $100-110/hour.

• Provide direct inpatient and outpatient pharmacy care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Interpret prescriptions, compute dosages, weigh and measure drugs, and compound drugs and chemicals.
• Resolve problems related to the clinical, chemical, and therapeutic applications of drugs, including biopharmaceutical effectiveness, utilization of new therapeutic agents, and special formula and dosage requirements.
• Interpret prescriptions and dispense products with accuracy in dosage and identification of therapeutic incompatibilities to avoid injury or death.
• Instruct discharged patients on the proper use, actions, precautions, and storage of medications; document patient health records.
• Review patient health records for therapeutic appropriateness, including diagnosis/treatment, allergies, and medication compatibility (drug interaction screening).
• Monitor provider performance through government information systems and records, patient records, and contractor reports.

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
  
  D) degree
• Unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a U.S. state/territory or the District of Columbia
• 1–3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in ambulatory or inpatient care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Completion of a PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience preferred
• Certification in immunization delivery or other clinical services (e.g., diabetes education)

USD $100.00/hour up to USD $115.00/hour
