Job Overview

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. They tailor each session to meet the individual needs of clients, while maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming environment. Acknowledging and willing to learn that the Kah Nee Ta Resort & Spa Wanapine are within the boundaries of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation and abide by Tribal & Federal law and regulations.

• State licensures/certification (where applicable).
• Proven experience in massage therapy or completion of a formal training program.
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform massages for extended periods.

• Greet all guests warmly and by name when known.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional tone.
• Avoid gossip and unprofessional behavior in all areas of the spa.
• Always uphold confidentiality and discretion.
• Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and other specialty treatments, based on client preferences and needs.
• Conduct client intake assessments to understand their needs, health history, and preferences before each session.
• Create a relaxing, comfortable environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and privacy throughout the treatment.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures for equipment, linens, and the massage area.
• Keep the spa area clean and organized.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and certifications.
• Adhere to local laws and regulations regarding licensing and safety.
• Work with other spa professionals, including aestheticians and reception staff, to provide a seamless and positive client experience.
• Helping clean up after yourself, understanding that Spa Wanapine is a Universal, fluid, team work Spa & we all alternate & share, support each other.
