The Infirmary Unit provides inpatient care with 24‑hour nursing coverage in a 13‑bed unit and provides medical management for 1400+ inmates. The Pharmacy Assistant supports the medication delivery system at the Montana State Prison to ensure medications are ordered, processed and delivered in a timely manner.

• Maintains patients’ records, assists in processing medication orders and tracks delivery of medications from the mail‑order pharmacy vendor.
• Ensures that inmates are transferred to various locations in the system and those discharged from the system have an adequate supply of medication.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing or designated nursing supervisor and provides administrative support function to same.

• High school diploma/GED.
• Two years’ experience in a pharmacy or medical office setting.
• Preferred: a certification as a registered Pharmacy technician.

Salary: $20.49 per hour.
