Fort Benton, Montana is home to IND HEMP’s two processing facilities: one dedicated to the processing of hemp oilseed and the other focused on industrial hemp fiber products. Each operation is purpose-built to provide industrial hemp food, feed and fiber products across a variety of applications and industries while providing our farmers with multiple revenue streams and contract production opportunities.
Work Schedule- Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm
- Friday-Sunday 7:00am-7:30pm
Pay:
This is a full-time hourly level position with a starting rate of $20.00/hour
The Production Technician position will report to the Plant and/or Shift Supervisor and will perform duties in an industrial hemp processing facility. The Production Technician is responsible for set-up/start-up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, documenting, and reporting issues on plant equipment. The Production Technician will also adjust equipment to ensure equipment operates at maximum efficiency, keeping safety and quality a priority.
Duties And Responsibilities- Prioritize and maintain safe working practices and a safe working environment.
- Follow GMP and SOP policies.
- Cleaning facilities, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain work areas, isles, and grounds in a clean and tidy manner.
- Troubleshooting and repairing machinery as needed.
- Maintain and monitor equipment to ensure proper functionality and efficient operation.
- Conduct quality checks.
- Collect product samples.
- Loading and unloading materials.
- Package materials.
- Safely operate heavy and arial equipment such as:
Forklift, Skid-steer, Wheel Loader, Grapple, Telehandler, Scissor lift. - Understand and operate all processing equipment with or without assistance as directed.
- In training to learn each position/task of the production line.
- Demonstrate ability to learn new job and cross train on positions in the fiber facility.

- Ability to exhibit good work habits, including attendance and punctuality.
- Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, dusty environment, and hot and cold temperatures.
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or training a plus.
- 1 year Industry or equivalent training preferred.
- Prior experience Operating heavy equipment and forklifts a plus.
- Basic understanding of computers and math comprehension.
- Prior manufacturing (grain or food processing) or agriculture experience a plus.
