WILDLIFE BIOLOGIST

Position in the Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation (DFWR CDivision of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation). Natural Resources Department, Polson, MT.

The successful applicant is required to have a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Management, or closely related field; including coursework in forest and range management, and one (1) year of professional work experience in wildlife management, ecology, habitat restoration and/or research.

• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised in field situations.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles, including boats, nets, traps, 4x4 vehicles, all‑terrain vehicles and communications equipment.
• Ability to perform physical labor such as planting, handling captive animals, and lifting.
• Completed the course entitled "The Foundations of Wildlife Chemical Capture".
• Valid driver’s license.
• Submission of Tribal Employment Application (replaces resume).

• Copy of relevant academic transcripts and/or certifications.
• Copy of valid driver’s license.
• Proof of enrollment in a federally recognized tribe (if other than CSKT).
• If claiming veterans’ preference, copy of DD‑214 must be submitted.
• This position is not a testing designated position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy.
• Successful applicant, if not already employed by CSKT, must pass a pre‑hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period.

Salary range $26.74 to $30.73 per hour (including benefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement, Long‑term Disability, and PTO & Paid Holidays).
