Veterinary Assistant

Animal Care Center is looking for a Veterinary Assistant with large animal experience to become a part of our team! This role requires someone who is also comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
, as part of the care we provide extends beyond the exam room.

Our Veterinary Assistants are essential in ensuring excellent patient care, whether it's during outpatient visits or surgical procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing treatment plans, assisting during examinations, preparing animals for surgery, and collaborating with our doctors to carry out procedures. They also provide thorough client education and respond to questions with professionalism and empathy.

• Compensation: $15-17/hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus Package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

• 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Radiology
• Surgical setup and assisting
• Phlebotomy
• SQ injections
