The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Master Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial/commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will also follow the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.

• The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks.
• Complete maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Test malfunctioning equipment, identify defects, troubleshoot, repair equipment and replace defective parts.
• Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.
• Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies; perform preventive maintenance; call for repairs.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

• 2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes.
• Ability to understand schematics and technical manuals.
• Reliable with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willing to submit to pre‑employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Fit and able to move in confined spaces.
• Limited working surfaces.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
