Utility Locate Technician $21.85-$34.00/hr Columbus, Montana

Union position with ELM Utility Services, a national team of over 1,300 employees. Our technicians ensure gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well‑maintained by performing high‑quality utility marking to prevent damage during excavation.

• Company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone provided to travel directly to job sites.

• Work independently outdoors, using a company‑provided vehicle as your mobile office to complete a route of locate requests each day.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities with paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
• Use your mobile work system to receive daily tasks.

• Pass pre‑employment drug, motor‑vehicle record, and background check.
• This is a safety‑sensitive DOT position; comply with all federal Department of Transportation regulations. Marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
