POSITION SUMMARY
The Education/Recreation Coordinator supports youth by providing structured educational assistance and leading engaging recreational activities at the Miyo facility. This position helps create a safe, positive environment that promotes learning, wellness, and healthy development.
MAJOR DUTIES- Lead after school educational support, tutoring, and enrichment activities.
- Plan and supervise recreational programs, events, and daily activities.
- Ensure youth safety and positive engagement.
- Maintain program spaces and materials.
- Work collaboratively with director, staff, community and families.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with youth.
- Strong communication and supervision skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, or related field.
- Experience planning youth programs or providing academic support.
- Knowledge of youth development and recreation practices.
