Education​/Recreation Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Education/Recreation Coordinator supports youth by providing structured educational assistance and leading engaging recreational activities at the Miyo facility. This position helps create a safe, positive environment that promotes learning, wellness, and healthy development.

• Lead after school educational support, tutoring, and enrichment activities.
• Plan and supervise recreational programs, events, and daily activities.
• Ensure youth safety and positive engagement.
• Maintain program spaces and materials.
• Work collaboratively with director, staff, community and families.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with youth.
• Strong communication and supervision skills.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Valid Driver’s License.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, or related field.
• Experience planning youth programs or providing academic support.
• Knowledge of youth development and recreation practices.
