A team of consultants who understand what it means to meet our guests where they are at and deliver for them through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising presentations. A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set full with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

At Target, we believe in team member development and meaningful experiences. The role provides skills and experiences including guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, industry trends, and floor set/merchandising activities.

• Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests as needed.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom as needed.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills and merchandising to capacity.
• Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes and signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by returning merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• All other duties based on business needs.

The Good News There is training to help you learn everything you need to know to be a Style Consultant. Basic skills include a strong interest in apparel products, a welcoming attitude, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Be able to climb ladders and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance; capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions; able to stay mobile during a shift.
