Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail Sales
O’Reilly Auto Parts is looking for a proactive, customer‑focused Merchandiser and Cashier to excel in a dynamic retail environment.
Compensation Pay Range$16.50 - $24.50 per hour (may equal or exceed local minimum wage). Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Essential Job FunctionsMerchandiser:
- Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise.
- Check in, price, and place stock on the display floor.
- Keep merchandise fronted, full, clean, and arranged according to planograms.
- Make price and display changes per company guidelines.
- Update sale signage, maintain sales flyer racks, and restore original pricing after sales end.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Partner with the manager to complete the store To Do List and weekly team tasks.
- Act as the main deterrent against shoplifting and provide front‑floor security.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in/out in accordance with company policy.
Cashier:
- Process front‑floor sales quickly and politely.
- Handle returns efficiently.
- Assist in queuing customers during peak times and manage monetary transactions, checks, and credit card processing.
Required
- Strong aptitude for number sequences and accurate cash handling.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
Desired
- Prior cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Capability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
