Position SummaryGSAPC is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Project Coordinator to support project architects and senior leadership across a range of building types and jurisdictions. This individual will serve as an essential bridge between design, documentation, consultants, and project administration.
This role supports projects in both New York and New Jersey, and requires a full-time, on-site presence in our Montclair office to ensure consistent collaboration, technical continuity, and fluid team communication. Remote or hybrid work is not permitted due to the collaborative nature of our practice. Occasional evening public hearings will be required.
Key Responsibilities- Produce design and construction drawings, details, and documentation in Revit and AutoCAD with precision and consistency.
- Assist with zoning analyses, UCC/DOB code research, HPC (Historic Preservation Commission) submissions, and Zoning and Planning Board hearing packages.
- Coordinate with consultants to collect, integrate, and verify drawings and technical materials.
- Maintain project schedules, deliverable timelines, and internal coordination workflows.
- Prepare materials for presentations, board hearings, and client meetings.
- Prepare meeting minutes, action lists, and follow-up documentation to support project momentum.
- Support construction administration tasks including organizing RFIs, tracking submittals, and preparing field documentation.
- Organize project data, Revit models, photos, scans, and digital files in accordance with GSAPC standards.
- NAAB-accredited architecture degree required.
- Licensed Architect in NY or NJ (required).
- Must be eligible and able to work on projects in both NY and NJ.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Must demonstrate strong skills in design, detailing and technical drawing.
- 5–8+ years experience in an architectural office.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
- Experience with municipal, institutional, historic preservation, and commercial work is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-driven, in-office environment.
