Lacordaire Academy, a Catholic independent PreK‑12 school, is seeking a long‑term leave replacement Science instructor for the 2025‑2026 school year. The position covers grades 5‑12 and will be in effect from mid‑February through early June.
Courses taught include Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science. The instructor should support the mission of Lacordaire Academy.
Qualifications- State Department of Education Certification (preferred, not required)
- Degree in a science‑related field and a strong scientific background
- Experience and passion for working with students of varying age ranges
- Ability to effectively teach a variety of courses, incorporate critical thinking and problem‑solving strategies, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Knowledge and application of best practices in instruction and classroom management
- Experience in a classroom setting as a teacher preferred
Salary range: $2,000‑$5,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
