Physician and Provider Relations Liaison

The PPRO Liaison is responsible for researching and understanding service line volumes, utilization, market share, competitor data and physician referral patterns for assigned lines of business. Must have knowledge of key business drivers, related medical trends, and service line performance metrics. Ability to leverage internal and external data to create strategic business development plans for each service line to support the company’s strategic vision and goals.
Must travel to hospital facilities relative to assigned service lines on a regular basis to provide education and build and maintain strong relationships with community hospitals, clinics, and referring providers. Ensure providers in primary and secondary services areas are effectively informed of and educated to Ardent hospital and medical group providers and services. Communicate closely with hospital market, facility, and medical group and service line leadership to review market knowledge and implementation of PPRO goals for each assigned service line, geographic territory or facility.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as outreach activities and hospital financial goals. This position will work frequently with both internal and external providers, medical group and hospital leadership, and community leaders. Strategic ability to identify growth opportunities and link activity to results while communicating and partnering effectively with market, hospital and service line leadership is essential.
- Serve as an extension of hospital leadership and operations, focusing on key internal and external customers to impact hospital market share.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external customers, including physicians and providers to leverage voice and drive high engagement.
- Exhibit strong command of market environment by providing strategic direction and intel to inform market growth strategies and service line growth initiatives.
- Demonstrate high strategic focus and create data‑driven growth plans that are regularly presented to facility leadership.
- Display high business acumen skill set and experience in leveraging data to inform strategic growth plan development.
- Meet targets for assigned service lines with ability to analyze data and track results.
- Maintain accurate account and contact information in CRM tool and effectively manage target list demonstrating effective reach and frequency.
- Prospect for new business to increase market share growth.
- Communicate key service line messages that are created and aligned to marketing growth strategies.
- Partner with physician practice operations leadership to create growth strategies and manage operational opportunities that are patient centric.
- Analyze, integrate, and understand business function and utilize multiple tools to assess marketplace opportunities.
- Create data‑driven strategic growth sales plans.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of demonstrated sales experience or relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of previous hospital or healthcare experience.
- Previous hospital and healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and current economic trends and challenges for healthcare systems.
- Understand larger strategic picture and how to leverage role effectively to drive growth.
- Clear understanding of hospital goals and ability to align results to meet operator’s expectations.
- Translate initiatives into action and implement communication strategies.
- Communicate effectively both written and verbal, in a compelling way that drives thought and actions and ensures understanding.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to influence and build effective relationships.
- Work well in fast‑paced environment and be nimble to change.

- Some after‑hours and weekend work may be required.
