About Your Team:
Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility offering the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care, including 365 beds, over 1,200 employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
Responsibilities:
The Mental Health Technician will assist with the care and observation of mentally ill patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Responsibilities include grooming and monitoring for abnormal behavioral or physical signs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant work or personal experience with individuals who are seriously mentally ill or have emotional behavior disorders.
- BLS certification.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and 1 year of direct patient care experience. Compensation is based on experience and education, with possible additional pay components such as differentials and call pay.
