Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000‑square‑foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting‑edge technology, and patient‑focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27‑bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

• Greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Register patients for inpatient, outpatient, or emergency room services, and obtain accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Copy insurance cards as required.
• Prepare  and distribute them with admission forms.
• Provide patients with information required by federal mandates, i.e., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and Advance Care Directives.
• Obtain appropriate signatures and copy and/or scan all identification and healthcare coverage presented.
• Document reasons if this information is not attainable.
• Communicate all information and financial responsibility to the patient/guarantor.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• 1+ year working in medical and/or medical insurance areas.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
