Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000‑square‑foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting‑edge technology, and patient‑focused care. It includes 365 beds, over 1,200 employees, and a 27‑bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities and daily activities are detailed below.

• The Charge Nurse—Medical/Surgical Unit has the leadership skills, authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
• They are an extension of the leadership team (director, manager, nursing supervisor, clinical preceptor, and/or house supervisor) and must conduct themselves as such.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Licensed as an RN in the State of New Jersey
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• At least 1–3 years nursing experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
