Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a NJ or compact RN license and 2 years of L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting

• Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns

• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-7:30)

• Epic charting system is used; experience is preferred

• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted

• Duties include managing laboring patients, assisting with delivery, and immediate newborn care

• No travel pairs or groups will be considered for this assignment

• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and none during the first week of orientation

• First time travelers are eligible to apply

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience

• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required

• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Prior multi-facility L&D or travel experience preferred but not required

• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
