Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting
Are you looking for your new career? New Gen Administrative Services is now hiring a Senior Accountant to be the newest member of our awesome team!
A Sr. Accountant you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements for assigned facilities. You will prepare monthly journal entries and other duties as assigned.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $ per year
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for the assigned facilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and adjusting journal entries
- Complete Balance Sheet and P&L account reconciliations with supporting documentation
- Maintain monthly supporting schedules (depreciation, amortization, roll-forward schedules etc.)
- Ensure monthly close is completed accurately and timely and in accordance with pre-established deadlines
- Review financial statement trends and propose adjustments
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable team for invoice, payment, and accrual accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of various monthly reports for the management team
- Assist with gathering supporting documents related to audit, review and tax engagements
- Resolve and communicate account discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 2-3 years of experience as senior accountant.
- 4-6 years of experience as G/L accountant
- Proficiency at the basic level of accounting and knowledgeable of the intermediate concepts of accounting
- Computer Literacy in a Windows environment with emphasis in Word, Advanced Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Detail oriented and organized;
Project oriented and ability to plan and manage workload on their own;
Able to work independently;
Team player with a willingness to help with anything to get the job done - Managed Care Experience
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Great Plains ERP
