Position: Support Attendant for Handicapped Students
Location: Châteauguay

Become a Support Attendant at New Frontiers School Board, focusing on assisting handicapped students in their academic activities. This on-call position is dedicated to ensuring student safety and well-being.

As a Support Attendant, you will play a crucial role in helping students engage fully in their education. This involves physical support, such as guiding movement, as well as emotional support through personal care tasks. You'll collaborate closely with teachers and staff to create an optimal learning environment tailored to each student's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide students safely between locations

• Assist with personal hygiene and eating routines

• Monitor students during breaks and instructional activities

• Support therapists during sessions as needed

• Record and share observations regarding student behavior

Requirements:

• Diploma in health care assistance or equivalent

• Minimum one year experience with special needs children

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Bilingual capabilities preferred

• Current first aid certification required
