Location: Châteauguay
Become a Caregiver for Handicapped Students at New Frontiers School Board, aiding children in a safe and nurturing school environment.
Your role is vital in supporting their educational experiences and day-to-day needs.
In this dedicated position, you'll assist students with mobility, personal care, and participation in school activities. Building rapport with students and collaborating with educators are essential for conveying lessons and promoting social interactions. You'll ensure that each student's individualized plan is followed closely while fostering a compassionate atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students in moving and participating in activities
• Aid in personal hygiene and safety measures
• Oversee meal times and administer medication if needed
• Track and relay student progress and behavior
• Supervise during playtime and educational activities
Requirements:
• Hold a DVS in patient assistance or similar
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Must be bilingual
• Standard first aid certificate required
• Experience with emotional behavior challenges is preferred
