POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician or Engineer whose  primary responsibility will be to perform mechanical testing  on our products. Your mission will be to conduct these tests in order to establish or confirm the level of performance of existing or developing insulating metal panels.

In addition, you will contribute to the  design and assembly of custom-made mechanical test benches . These benches integrate various systems such as pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders, force and displacement sensors (analog and digital), as well as assemblies adapted to our projects. This role will allow you to combine experimental practice and technical creativity, by participating in the development of unique tools in Canada for the study of our products.

This role requires both analytical and practical skills: 2D/3D design, mechanical assembly, instrumentation, as well as a synthetic and results-oriented approach.

Key employees: members of the R&D team, members of the technical service team, members of the Marketing team and the Production department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform mechanical tests, including preparation, set-up and launch of tests.

Analyze data and document results in a summary manner (clear and concise reports).

Ensure the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing test benches.

Design and set up mechanical test benches adapted to internal needs, defining and documenting functional specifications.

Estimate costs and deadlines, establish baseline schedules and ensure follow-up.

Supervise the outsourced manufacturing of test benches (supplier monitoring, quality control, reception).

Collaborate on product design reviews and bring a pragmatic vision of the tests required for validation.

Participate in the preparation and assembly of prototypes for the validation of new products.

Maintain the clean and safe testing environment.
