NRC is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Technical Officer in Boucherville to advance clean energy solutions through optical technologies. This role includes full-time engagement with hands-on design and optimization responsibilities.

You will be part of the Clean Energy Innovation Research Centre, contributing to the development of sensor systems for material analysis and monitoring. The successful candidate will have background knowledge in mechanical design, optical sensors, and laboratory operations, pivotal for transforming research concepts into practical applications. Participate in team collaborations, design reviews, and maintain robust laboratory setups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovate and optimize optical measurement instruments

• Execute experimental work in a research environment

• Document and manage laboratory resources

• Collaborate with peers for technology deployment

• Participate actively in project meetings and health initiatives

Requirements:

• University degree or college diploma in related engineering discipline

• Expertise in CAD (Solid Works or Inventor) essential
