AVA Energy is seeking an experienced Transmission & Interconnection Engineer to enhance their power systems team. This role demands expertise in dynamic simulation, transient modeling, and complex power system analysis. Candidates will also coach junior team members and optimize interconnection planning for renewable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop specific modeling and simulation using EMTP software

• Conduct dynamic and transient simulations for power systems

• Analyze transient responses and oscillatory issues in networks

• Complete detailed power system analyses for transmission planning

• Coach team members on EMTP studies supporting renewables

Requirements:

• 5+ years in power system simulation programs

• Proficiency with network reduction software

• Understanding of ISO application approval processes

• Experience with utilities and developers

• Bachelor’s in electrical power engineering, Master’s preferred
