Exploration Geologist

Position: Exploration Geologist Contract Role
Location: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Explore exciting geological challenges as an Exploration Geologist at Axis Geoscience Ltd. Focus on field-based projects in Canada, involving mapping, prospecting, and drill support.

This four-month contract role involves executing practical field exploration strategies while working closely with contractors and your small team. Your contributions will include geological mapping, sampling, and managing QA/QC procedures to ensure data integrity. This position requires adaptability to operate in rugged environments while maintaining meticulous records of field activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and supervise drill support campaigns

• Coordinate effectively with contractors throughout projects

• Collect and assess geological and geotechnical data

• Manage sample handling and QA/QC protocols

• Assist in generating maps and technical reports

Requirements:

• Strong field skills with independent work capability

• Expertise in geological mapping and hard-rock systems

• Experience with core logging and sample management

• Knowledge of GIS and relevant geological software

• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental practices
