Electrical and Control design technician - Substations and Power Plants

Responsibilities

Design protection and control systems for high-voltage substations across Canada.

Contribute to site assignments to ensure work quality and system compliance prior to energization.

Manage projects, coordinate with clients and deliver quality projects with the BBA team.

Take on various roles, including that of project leader.

Design protection panels (AC, control, wiring diagrams, etc.).

Draft installation specifications and prepare material, cable and interconnection lists.

Participate in site surveys.

Coordinate tasks with other discipline leads.

Participate in control start-up activities.

Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.

More than 5 years of experience with Hydro-Québec control and protection projects.

Knowledge of E3 design software.

Familiarity with testing equipment and site monitoring.

Availability for short- and long-term assignments at client sites.

Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, with the ability to draft technical documents in both languages.

Asset:
Degree from the Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE).
