Job Title: Fin Ops Engineer
Location: Montreal, QC
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Fin Ops Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will optimize cloud spend, improve financial accountability, and support cloud governance initiatives across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Fin Ops initiatives across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments.
• Optimize cloud spending for core banking platforms, citizen services applications, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, and enterprise digital services.
• Monitor cloud usage, costs, budgets, and financial performance metrics.
• Develop cloud cost allocation, chargeback, and showback models.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, operations, and business teams.
• Support telecom network services, 5G platforms, edge computing environments, and customer-facing platforms.
• Implement cloud governance, cost controls, and financial management best practices.
• Produce cloud financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting insights.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities across cloud platforms.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and financial policies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Fin Ops Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments.
• Experience supporting banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, or telecom customer platforms.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud cost management and optimization principles.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of governance, compliance, and security requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• Strong stakeholder communication abilities.
• Fin Ops or Cloud certifications preferred.
