Intact Insurance is seeking an experienced Senior Security Advisor to strengthen its Detection Engineering in cyber defence team. This role focuses on cloud and infrastructure security, threat detection, and the development of scalable security solutions.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud, on‑premises, and containerized environments to support the SOC environment.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams while managing priorities independently.
• Support log ingestion, normalization, filtering, troubleshooting, and platform maintenance.
• Manage core security tools for the SOC, including Microsoft Sentinel, Crowd Strike, Microsoft Purview, Agentic Internal platform.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, Dev Ops, or infrastructure. Experience in security monitoring, including SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP, or UEBA platforms.
• Understanding of threat actors, attack techniques, phishing, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and data exfiltration.
• Experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including identity, logging, and network controls.
• Experience with Azure VMs, Load Balancer, Terraform, Kubernetes, Linux, Python, Ansible, Syslog, Logstash, Crowd Strike, and Elastic.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
• Knowledge of detection engineering, rule writing, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Cyber Kill Chain, an asset.
• Security-related certification (CEH, GCIH, GCTI, GCFE or the equivalent) or Dev Ops‑related certification (CKA), an asset.
