Schedule:

Rotating day/night shifts

2 weeks of day shifts (1 week of 3 x 12-hour shifts + 1 week of 4 x 12-hour shifts)

2 weeks of night shifts (1 week of 3 x 12-hour shifts + 1 week of 4 x 12-hour shifts)

As part of our client's development, they are looking for a Plastic Extrusion Production Supervisor to supervise and coordinate production teams, ensure industrial performance, and guarantee compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the extrusion lines.

Main responsibilities:

Supervise and lead production teams working rotating shifts (day/night)

Organize, plan, and optimize plastic extrusion operations

Ensure compliance with production targets (quality, deadlines, costs)

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental rules

Monitor performance indicators (OEE, scrap, yield, etc.)

Identify and resolve technical and human problems

Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and equipment

Ensure communication between teams and support services (maintenance, quality, logistics)

Skills and qualifications :

Required profile:

Vocational or college degree in a relevant field combined with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment or other combination of relevant experience

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn ERP-type systems

Proven experience in plastic extrusion, ideally in team supervision

Leadership, organizational skills, and decision-making

Ability to work rotating day/night shifts

Proficiency with production tracking tools and performance indicators

Key skills:

Plastic extrusion processes (an asset)

Team management

Continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, TPM – a plus)

Industrial safety

Technical problem solving
