Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization recognized for its operational excellence and commitment to continuous improvement, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the overall performance of its manufacturing operations.

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Plant Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, achieving business objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture. This individual will play a strategic role in optimizing plant performance, developing talent, and executing the organization's operational strategy.

As a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will contribute to aligning corporate priorities with day-to-day operations while creating sustainable value for the business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide overall leadership for manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and transportation.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence focused on health and safety, quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, delivery, cost, and customer service.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Lead Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) and ensure rigorous performance management across all operational and financial metrics.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall plant performance.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources, Health & Safety, Quality, Engineering, Planning, IT, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary management team while promoting employee engagement, accountability, and talent development.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's strategic initiatives.

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex manufacturing operations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing KPIs, ERP systems, operational budgets, and capital investment projects.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational priorities and financial performance.
